The Water Distribution Division is responsible for increasing customer satisfaction by providing uninterrupted water service, sufficient output, and adequate pressure at all times. The Water Distribution Division provides a continuous amount of potable water with ample pressure to all residential, commercial, and industrial water consumers, as well as for fire protection.
The Water Distribution Division helps improve water pressure by looping the main lines and restructuring the various pressure zones, while also replacing water mains and services in order to prevent interruption of services. It is also responsible to maintain approximately 1,150 miles of transmission and distribution lines and 8,862 fire hydrants. The Water Distribution Division provides its employees with the necessary trainings to obtain their CDL drivers’s licenses and the required certifications from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
